WWW Conference – Secure Centrality Computation Over Multiple Networks talk

Disseminating Partner: THE OPEN UNIVERSITY OF ISRAEL

Type of disseminating activity: Talk at conference

Target-profile / audience: Scientific Community (Higher Education, Research), Industry, General Public

Number of attendants: 60

Section of the project covered by dissemination: T6.2

Overview of feedback received: The talk given by Tamir Tassa earned much attraction and raised a lot of questions that went well into the break after the talk. Two of the people who engaged in discussions with me were Wei Chen from Microsoft research that also presented a work on the topic of user centrality in my session, and Prof. Yizhou Sun from UCLA, who chaired the session, and also worked on similar problems (coming from different contexts) and with whom we shall explore future research directions.

Reason for choosing this particular event to disseminate the project: WWW is the main international academic conference on the topic of the future direction of the World Wide Web. It is one of the most highly ranked CS conferences, in all subjects. It was first created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland; Dr. Berners-Lee was announced only 2 days ago as the recipient of the 2016 Turing award. There is no better venue to present the work that we did in T6.2.
