D2.2 Framework Design

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This deliverable introduces the framework design of TYPES. The framework is divided into four building blocks: Privacy Violation Detection Block, Privacy Safeguarding Block, Data Valuation Block and Privacy by-design Advertising Block. In turn each building block is formed by three components offering a concrete functionality referred to as modules. A module includes one or more concrete implementation of its functionality by means of software, algorithms or tools (e.g., web browser plugin, web portal, etc). The design of these elements will follow the simplicity requirement in order to provide “easy-to-install and easy-to-use” tools and software to average Internet users. Therefore, the TYPES framework is not designed as complex and integrated architecture, but as a container set of tools and functionalities that aims to increase the privacy awareness among average Internet users and offer them simple solutions that allow gaining control over the management of their own privacy.
